  7. This program allows to create indexes of reduced pictures. It offers many
  8. possibilities and has some features that other programs of this type have
  9. not... And it's totally free !
  10.  
  11. It has been totally re-written in C (the first version was produced with AMOS
  12. PRO), respecting totally the system. The Dice 3.20 compiler has been used.
  13. Even if you already checked out the first version, I strongly recommend you
  14. to try this one too, since the program has been greatly enhanced (in fact,
  15. there's no comparison)...

  17. If you own a great number of pictures, this program will become a MUST
  18. quickly !

  23.     - Fast (optimised for 68020+ processors).
  24.     - Compact.
  25.     - Doesn't use MUI, BGUI, Triton,  ClassAct or any other GUI interface.
  26. Only system's Gadtools.library, which seems really sufficient (and much more
  27. memory saving)...
  28.     - Allows creation of 16 or 256 grayscale, or 256 colors thumbnails, with
  29. high image quality.
  30.     - Supports XPK compression.
  31.     - Respects totally the AMIGA system.
  32.     - Customizable.
  33.     - Handles multi-volumes indexes.
  34.     - Capability to update indexes very easily (all is automatic)
  35.     - Very powerful system of actions associated to each picture format.

  44. - Fixed a nasty bug that made Collector crash at runtime  on  some  machines.
  45. Sorry  for  this, and thanks to the people that reported this bug and allowed
  46. me to release this fixed version so fast !

  48. - Uses special features of the  MPImage  library  v5.1  in  greyscale  format
  49. (faster, and less memory needed thanks to the library FORCEGREY option). With
  50. this new method and  the  optimisations  done  in  the  new  MPImage  library
  51. version, Collector creates indexes noticeably faster.

  53. - The index completion is now case insensitive.
  54.  
  55. - Now Collector tells you if it could not find an action associated to a file
  56. type.

  58. - The IndexConv program was totally rewritten.
